Blonding After Care
How to keep your blonde bright, healthy, and beautiful between visits!
1. Wait to Wash
Hold off on shampooing for at least 48 hours. This gives your cuticle time to settle and helps preserve toners or glosses applied during your service.
2. Use the Right Shampoo
Choose a sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo.
Purple shampoo once a week helps neutralize brassiness—but don’t overdo it. Too much can dull your tone or create uneven patches.
3. Hydrate!
Blonding lifts the cuticle, which means your hair loses moisture faster.
Use a deep conditioning mask 1–2 times per week.
Leave-in conditioners and lightweight oils help seal in hydration and reduce breakage.
4. Protect from Heat & Sun
Always use a heat protectant before styling.
UV rays can fade your blonde—wear a hat or use a UV spray when outdoors.
5. Sleep Soft
Use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and frizz.
Tie your hair in a loose braid or bun to prevent tangling overnight.
6. Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Skip clarifying shampoos unless recommended—they can strip toner and dry out your hair.
Be cautious with pool water: chlorine can turn blonde green. Rinse before and after swimming, and use a protective leave-in.
7. Maintain Your Tone
Book gloss or toner refreshes every 4–6 weeks to keep your blonde looking fresh and balanced. This also helps close the cuticle and add shine.
